Naming an online presence can be a fraught process, and it’s a decision I’ve invested a lot of emotional energy and angst into over the years. You want something memorable, attention-grabbing, clever…and, if at all possible, searchable.
It’s a lot to pull off in a few words.
And if you’re like me, you also want the title of your blog or newsletter or Instagram handle or podcast to represent where you are in life at any given moment. Sometimes, even after investing much of your time and energy into creating, nurturing, and supporting a brand, you realize it no longer feels right: for where you are in life, for what the world needs from you, or possibly both.
In this post I’m sharing a bonus audio recording that explains my decision to end the Mother of Reinvention podcast after six seasons, and to start over completely fresh with a new title, look, format and focus.
