I love that you did this on your own! It sounds like a wonderful time! I am one of those people who lived in the same town my whole childhood until I went to college at 18. My parents still live in the same house that I lived in from age 3-18, and I don't remember our first house at all, but drive by it almost every time I visit my hometown.
