I love this so much because it fits you perfectly! You know I'm a planner - of course I'm going to do an end-of-the-year look back, etc. I enjoy it and look forward to it. But I've always admired your different take on things and this is no exception. Here's to a nourishing year of beans, creativity, and good thoughts.

I love this. It reminds me of something my mom always used to say when I was a kid--“Siempre hay frijoles en la casa.”

There’s always beans at home 🏠💕 There’s a little bit of comfort and marvel in something that’s always there.

Yes! Hearty is a great word for it. I had honestly had been getting a little bored with my meal plans, so I also appreciate the chance to inject a bit of new creative energy into the kitchen. Happy New Year, Kaitlin!

I chose the word, NOURISH, for my WOTY but I'll be honest, beans factored into my word decision. I've been amping up my bean intake the past few months and the results in my digestion and energy levels has been noticeable. Here's to a whole year of beans!

I love how you found a way to take a radically different interpretation of a common concept.

I love it! I've been trying to cook more with lentils, but haven't found the best recipes yet!

The minute I find a good one I'll pass it along! I feel like the power of lentils is that they can take on so many other flavors, so maybe a dip? Or a soup?

I’ve tried two lentil soup recipes so far--I think soup is the way to go. But the first one I tried was WAY too salty. The second one was too bland. Maybe I just need to play around with those recipes. Rhett asked for lentil soup during lentil harvest, so I have a few months find the “right” one. :)
