I’m so sorry for your loss. I just lost my uncle (around the same age as your aunt) a few weeks ago. I hear you about being the “adult” (I’m still surprised I am one - in my mind I am in my twenties but that was two decades ago 🥴)
Oh, my sympathies. Aunt Paula sounds amazing, and she was lucky to be surrounded by such caring family (luck isn’t the right word, as she was part of creating that very bond). You’ve put into words part of what was devastating for me about my dad‘s death. I’m an only child, and he represented safety to me in that way, even though he didn’t involve himself in my choices or even talk much about them. Sending you much love as you navigate these days.
