Quince has some nice basics at much lower prices than you'd pay for a similar/same item in a higher end department store. Nice stuff, good quality. I have a lot of pieces in my closet that I've bought over the years and continue to wear.
My first purchase from this company but LOVE it so far.
These last two are a big time splurge, for me at least. I got the Loft coat from Anian: https://anianmfg.com/collections/womens-outerwear/products/the-loft-coat - very practical for my lifestyle and climate, and there was a nice first-time discount that made it a bit more affordable. I love it on and I think it'll get a lot of wear.
And then, my biggest splurge, the Jane sweater from Christy Dawn https://christydawn.com/products/the-jane-sweater-toast?_pos=3&_sid=ae468d3cb&_ss=r The price almost made me choke but I felt in love with the style and the brand ethics, and I figured any brand with this much of a beloved following must have something going for it. There was a first-time shopper discount so I decided to give it a go and return if I didn't love, love, LOVE it. And...I do. I truly think I will wear it for many years to come.
The thing I tried to pay attention to this season is to make sure all my "old" stuff and the new stuff I'm bringing into the closet work together! The two sweaters I bought will work with all the pants that are in my regular rotation already and will layer well over the shirts I already have. I really don't need any new bottoms this year, just need to make sure the tops I get work with what I already have.
Great article. I love the idea of higher quality/less clothes. Would you share some of your favorite retailers?
Sure! From last season, I will be wearing my beloved wool leggings from Woolx - https://www.woolx.com/collections/womens-bottoms/products/womens-athletic-merino-leggings-with-side-pockets-piper I have tried wool leggings from several brands and these are by far my favorite. I've also gotten some nice basics (t-shirts, etc) from Pact - http://wearpact.com - mostly summer stuff, and I don't plan on buying anything this season, but they are a good brand to check out.

I also have these pants from Wool& which I love: https://wooland.com/products/foster-kick-flare-ponte-pant-black
This fall, I bought this amazingly soft alpaca sweater from Paka - https://www.pakaapparel.com/products/alpaca-crew

Thank you!
Love that chicken dress! Enjoy your trip.
Thanks, Mary!
I second that. I'm so into it, haha.
Same! I love it, but could never pull it off. You look great in it, Meagan!
