I’m spending the weekend in Door County, WI (mixing a bit of business with pleasure in the form of a donor visit on Washington Island yesterday). I have to agree the fall colors right now are the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. My drive up the Peninsula yesterday was gorgeous and today my husband and our younger son spent several hours hiking in Peninsula State Park. Absolutely breathtaking. Now, we’re taking a break (with my husband catching the last part of the Packer game) before heading over to our favorite brewery. #Wisconsin
Oh, I love Door County and I bet it's beautiful in all the same ways as the UP! I hiked Peninsula State Park a few years ago and was blown away. Also I got up close and personal with a fox who perched on top of a rock about 5 feet above my head, just watching me walk by like it was no big deal!
I was so sad to have missed fall in the UP this year—we live in southeastern WI but my grandparents have a house up in the UP allowing us to spend a perfect fall weekend exploring Porcupine mountains each year. We chose to skip out because of a fresh baby arrival so I’m living vicariously through your fall images! I don’t think I’ve been that far north in the fall before so maybe I’ll have to remember this for another year!
The colors are gorgeous, but my favorite pic is the one of your son with his pinkie properly out! It cracked me up. Probably because I have a son or two who would do the same thing. So happy for you that you got to enjoy God’s glorious fall colors as well as the company of your sons.
The pictures are absolutely gorgeous, and I just love the pics of your young men with their tea! Sounds like a special trip.

Aw, I'm sad you missed it too - but a fresh baby is the best kind of consolation prize, eh? Congratulations on that beautiful boy :)
Oh most definitely. Crisp air smells in the fall are near perfect, but I’ll take good fresh baby smell over that any day 😉
I’m in Milwaukee!!
Too funny!! Were just a bit north!
Gorgeous! I want to be there! (Also, your sons are so cute.)
Thank you! I think so too!

Ha, they are the best - I've had so many laughs over the last few days!
